using drafting and engineering drawing techniques to explore visual literacy, impossibility, dreams, language, methodology as practice, and process. this work has been one of painstaking methodical effort, teaching myself a new vocabulary of drawing and materials. i am talking in a language i don’t know how to speak, across a gap of many years of experience. often drawing these feels like sending smoke signals up, or tapping misremembered morse code, or decoding semaphores. i can approximate the contours, but the real meaning is lost.
as time has passed this work has felt like birthing something into the world. here are the materials to build it, here are the plans, and finally here are the small manifestations of objects passing into this world from the other.
